What “Staked Compute” is
Staked Compute is Acurast’s staking mechanism designed to economically secure reliable compute capacity.
From the official overview:
- Committers (compute providers) stake ACU as collateral to back capacity commitments and can be slashed if they fail to provide reliable availability.
- Delegators stake by delegating to committers; they can earn rewards but share slashing risk.
Why it matters
- Providers and delegators both have “skin in the game”.
- Developers get more predictable capacity they can build on.
